1 These activities can be accommodated in multi-purpose grass pitches. The actual dimension will depend on
site constraints (ideal dimension is 120m x 100m), but the width should not be less than 90m.

A multiplier of 1.5 and 1.25 have been applied respectively for court/pitch of a size below and above 5000
sq.m. The multiplier allows flexibility for margins and circulation space.

LO is primarily intended for passive use including children's playground, and hence active to passive ratio does
not apply. However, in comprehensive residential developments, some areas of LO would need to be set aside
for active uses to accommodate the required facilities.

with a degree of flexibility, having regard to land use demands, local conditions, development constraints and
resource availability, as stipulated in Para.5.4 of Chapter 1.
