Gazetted on 9 May 2003 and introduced into the Legislative Council on 21 May 2003, the Town Planning (Amendment) Bill 2003 was passed by the Legislative Council (LegCo) on 7 July 2004. The Town Planning (Amendment) Ordinance 2004 was then published in the Government Gazette on 23 July 2004. The Amendment Ordinance has come into operation on 10 June 2005.
