We have consulted members of the public, interested parties, relevant stakeholders and statutory/advisory bodies throughout the study process in order to build up good communication channels and to ensure the implementation of future plans with wider local supports.
 

STUDY METHODOLOGY

The community engagement programme comprises two stages. Stage 1 focuses on the draft Concept Plan; and Stage 2 on the draft Development Plan. The time periods of the two community engagements were as follows:
 
Stage 1 Community Engagement : 16 May 2008 – 8 August 2008
Stage 2 Community Engagement : 30 October 2009 – 31 December 2009
 
Briefing sessions have been organised to present the study proposals and recommendations of the study to established Boards and Committees, stakeholder groups, green groups; local universities and research institutes, etc.
