Major Planning Documents Available to the Public
Landscape Submissions related to Planning Applications

There is an array of technical documents promulgated by the Planning Department and the Town Planning Board to members of the public through the Government Publication Centre¹, Planning Department's Planning Enquiry Counter²and Home Page³, and Town Planning Board's Home Page⁴. The purpose of this Practice Note is to categorise these documents to facilitate users to locate relevant documents for quick reference.

Hong Kong Planning Standards and Guidelines:

Purpose/Nature	Promulgation
Mainly concerned with policy guidelines and planning standards for determining the scale, location and site requirements of various land uses and facilities. All general land uses and facilities essential to the community well-being, such as schools, clinics/hospitals and open space are covered.
