On prosecution action, 199 summonses in respect of 56 cases were laid in 2017. Appendices
147 defendants in respect of 50 cases were convicted under section 23(6) of the
Town Planning Ordinance (the Ordinance) for non-compliance with notices issued
by the Planning Authority. Two defendants in respect of two cases were convicted
under sections 20(7) and 20(8) of the Ordinance for undertaking/continuing UDs
(Table 4).
