The ciTy Gallery
The City Gallery plays an important role in reaching out to the community to promote town
planning of Hong Kong, showcasing town planning and infrastructure developments now and
in future to overseas and Mainland visitors; as well as providing a platform for exchange of
professional ideas among planning and development-related professionals.
Visitation
During 2017, the City Gallery received 185 635 visitors with an average daily attendance of
591 and an average monthly attendance of about 15 470. Among the visitors, about 88 per
cent of them were individual walk-ins and about 12 per cent were group visits.

The City Gallery provides guided tour
services and received group bookings
from schools; community, elderly,
children and youth centres; local tours;
travel agents; District Councils as well
as local, mainland and overseas visiting
groups organised by universities/
institutes or by referrals. In 2017, the
City Gallery received a total of 620
groups with 19 769 visitors. The types
of visiting groups are shown in the
figure.
