Planning and Engineering Study for Tuen Mun Areas 40 and 46 and

The Adjoining Areas – Feasibility Study

The Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link under construction and the proposed Tuen Mun Western
Bypass will greatly enhance the accessibility of Tuen Mun Areas 40 and 46 and provide
opportunities for optimising the development potential of the areas. The Study aims to

formulate appropriate land uses and development parameters for the Potential Development
Areas in the Study Area. The Study is jointly commissioned by the Department and CEDD.
A draft Recommended Outline Development Plan (RODP) is being formulated ahead of the
            Stage 2 Community Engagement exercise.

Preliminary Land-Use Study for Lam Tei Quarry and The Adjoining

            Areas – Feasibility Study

Jointly commissioned by the Department and
CEDD, the Study commenced in June 2016.
It aims to examine the development potential
and identify the possible future land-uses of

the Lam Tei Quarry Site and its adjoining
            areas including integrated development with
two proposed Strategic Cavern Areas. A

Land Use Concept Plan supported by broad
            technical assessments would be formulated.
The findings and recommendations of the
Study will form the basis for a Planning and
Lam Tei Quarry and the Adjoining Areas
            Engineering Study at subsequent stage.
