Planning and Engineering Study for Tuen Mun Areas 40 and 46 and
The Adjoining Areas – Feasibility Study
The Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link under construction and the proposed Tuen Mun Western
Bypass will greatly enhance the accessibility of Tuen Mun Areas 40 and 46 and provide
opportunities for optimising the development potential of the areas. The Study aims to
formulate appropriate land uses and development parameters for the Potential Development
Areas in the Study Area. The Study is jointly commissioned by the Department and CEDD.
A draft Recommended Outline Development Plan (RODP) is being formulated ahead of the
Stage 2 Community Engagement exercise.

Preliminary Land-Use Study for Lam Tei Quarry and The Adjoining
Areas – Feasibility Study
Jointly commissioned by the Department and
CEDD, the Study commenced in June 2016.
It aims to examine the development potential
and identify the possible future land-uses of
the Lam Tei Quarry Site and its adjoining
areas including integrated development with
two proposed Strategic Cavern Areas. A
Land Use Concept Plan supported by broad
technical assessments would be formulated.
The findings and recommendations of the
Study will form the basis for a Planning and
Lam Tei Quarry and the Adjoining Areas
Engineering Study at subsequent stage.
