            Development in Progress

            In accordance with the land use framework set out in the OZP, the implementation for KTD

            has been set in train with various developments completed in recent years including the Kai Tak
            Cruise Terminal, two public housing estates (Kai Ching Estate and Tak Long Estate), six private
            residential sites in the Grid Neighbourhood (Figure 3) under different stages of construction,
            some government/institution/community (GIC) facilities (Trade and Industry Tower, Kai Tak

            Community Hall, Kai Tak Fire Station, Hong Kong Children’s Hospital and two primary
            schools) and open space (Kwun Tong Promenade and Runway Park Phase 1) (Figure 4).  Kai
            San Road, the major carriageway linking KTD with San Po Kong, was also opened in August
            2017.
