with prototypes focusing on city planning, infrastructure/

engineering, and environmental aspects to facilitate the work of
the government. The BEAP is targeted to foster co-operation,
collaboration and co-creation among the government bureaux/
departments and in a longer term among business, academia

and the pubic to enable application/information sharing and
better use of limited resources via the development of common
applications. The Study will be completed in 2019.

Preliminary Land-Use Study for Lam Tei Quarry and the Adjoining
          Areas – Feasibility Study

Jointly commissioned by the Department and the

          Civil Engineering and Development Department
(CEDD), the Study aims to examine the development
potential and identify the possible future land-uses
of the Lam Tei Quarry Site and its adjoining areas

including integrated development with two Strategic
Cavern Areas. A Land Use Concept Plan supported by
preliminary technical assessments will be formulated.
The findings and recommendations of the Study will

form the basis for a planning and engineering study at
          subsequent stage.
