Study on Existing Profile and Operations of Brownfield Sites in the
New Territories

The purpose of the Study is to establish a comprehensive profile of brownfield sites including

distribution and uses of brownfield sites in the New Territories, in order to facilitate the
government to formulate appropriate policies and measures for tackling brownfield sites. The
Study includes field and questionnaire surveys, and stakeholder interviews, etc. The findings of

the Study will form the basis for examining the development potential of brownfield sites. As
at end-2018, the related surveys have been completed and the final report is being prepared.

Annual Open Data Plan

In December, the Department has published the annual open data plan to set out the datasets
which will be released on the Public Sector Information (PSI) Portal (https://data.gov.hk) in the

coming three years and those which have already been published.
