The path also led visitors to five physical models that portrayed the visionary planning and Focus
development of Hong Kong. The five models presented the key development projects
showcasing a smart, green and resilient city as envisioned in the Hong Kong 2030+: Towards
a Planning Vision and Strategy Transcending 2030 (Hong Kong 2030+). They covered Core
Business District (CBD), New Development Areas and North Lantau. All of the models were
equipped with interactive technology to guide visitors through the journey of planning and
development in a fun and easily comprehensible way:
z Kai Tak and Kowloon East – Energizing Kowloon East into Hong Kong’s CBD2;
z Central, Wan Chai North and North Point Harbourfront – CBD1 at Central and adjoining
areas – The Heart of Our City;
z Kwu Tung North and Fanling North – Integrating the Urban, Rural and Nature;
z Hung Shui Kiu and Yuen Long South – Turning Brown to Green; and
z North Lantau – New Space for a New Era.
